Wilma Gibson writes:
"I do not know who her parents were, she was a county charge, and used to live in the county home when I was growing up. My grandfather Cleve Crabtree ran the county farm from sometime in the 1940's until the late 50's or early 60's and Nade was always there, cried when he moved away into another part of Jamestown, she wanted to go with him.
"She was retarded and I was told as a young person that she birthed three children, all deceased. I'm not sure where the children are buried, at the county farm would be my guess, which is now the Fair Grounds.
"She was a stout, husky built woman with dark hair, about 5'6'', I can't remember the color of her eyes, and I do not know if there are pictures of her I would have to ask my cousin, IF there is I'm sure she would be the one to have them.
"I'm glad someone put her up a stone, I have often wondered what became of her.
"Her name was Nadine, you could ask her name and she would tell you Nadine, but I can't remember the rest of it, it's been too long."
