Date 29 December 1756

In the name of God amen I Rawleigh Everitt of the county of Lancaster being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to God do make this my last will and testament.

First: I bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty God who give it me and my body to the ground from whence it was taken and as for my worldly estate I do dispose of as followeth.

It is my will that my estate be kept together till my youngest child come to the age of ten years. Or till my son Simmonds shall arrive at the age of twenty one years.

Item : I give to my son Simmond Everitt my negro boy Daniel to him and his heirs forever my said son to be possessed with the said Negro when he shall arrive to the age of twenty one years.

Item: my will is that at the time appointed for my son Simmonds to be possessed with loving wife and my three sons Leeroy, John, and William Everitt reserving that if the said negro should die before my said son Simmonds should be possessed with him my will is that my said son Simmonds shall have an equal share of my estate with his mother and his brothers and I do nominate and appoint my loving wife Sarah and Harry Carter and John Everitt Executors of this my last will and testament in wiltness whereof I have hereunto set my had seal this twenty ninth day of Dec 1756.
