George Allen Sr. left MD. He was in Hanover Parish (either Stafford or King George Co., VA.) before 1 July 1743 (Bible) when his son George was born. This is the George Allen who came from Wake Co., NC to Iredell Co., NC. 1795 with your Reynolds Allen Sr., Jr., and families related to both of them. This George Allen is featured in chapter 12, Allens of the Southern States, Norma Carter Miller, M.A. and George Lane Miller, PH.D. The will of George Allen, Sr. was dated January 30, 1805 and proved in Warren County Court February Term, 1805. In his will Mr. Allen named his wife, Dianna as executrix. Dianna was to have the use of the 200 acre "home place" adjoining Davis and James Powell, for her lifetime. After her death, the property would go their son Thomas Allen. Another son, George Allen, was to have 100 acres adjoining Major Taylor, the heirs of William Christmas and William Ellis. A son, William, was to receive one silver dollar. Granddaughters Nancy Fain and Cathy Baxter were to divide the land where Sylvester Knukals (Nichols) lived, giving 47 1/2 acres to each. The children of a daughter, Dorcas Ray, and her husband, James Ray were given legacies. A grandson, Joel Allen, was to have 100 acres beginning at the line of James Powell, up Saul's Creek, including the plantation on which Thaddeus Murrah formerly lived. Five married daughters also received land: Mary Smith, Elizabeth Patrick, Sally Bennett, Jean (Jane) Stephenson and Cathy Murrah. (Book 13, page 10 (A), Warren County, North Carolina). The earliest record found for George Allen (Senior) in North Carolina was a grantee deed from Joseph Hackney and his wife Sarah Hackney to George Allen of Fauquier County, Virginia" for 300 acres of land in Bute County which later became Warren County. At George's death, 1141 acres of land were divided among the heirs of George Allen. The following records were abstracted by Mrs. Sara C. Allen of Hiddenite, North Carolina. 4 April 1768. Joseph and Sarah Hackney both of Bute County, North Carolina, deed to George Allen of Fauquier County, Virginia for 60 pounds money 300 acres in Bute County on E. S. Robertson's Mill Branch. Witnesses William Moore, John Hackney and Susanna Moore. Ack. by Joseph Hackney in August Court 1768.
