William Allen

From: Lou Anne Allen, laallen@@mail.tds.net William built "Lewiston" plantation, Marrowbone Creek William Allen, like his forefathers, was a very successful farmer; and having a number of slaves, brought several to Missouri from VA. He bought sections of land west of Collins, on present Hwy. 54, and that area became known as "Allen's Prairie". Allen Cemetery is located on and on-half mile west of Collins on Hwy. 54, then one half mile north. His home was three hundred yards northwest of the cemetery.
