Tabitha Allen

I saw your linage on the Rootsweb and thought I would write and ask you if you know anything about Tabitha Allens first marriage to a Keeton. I believe his first name was John. Tabitha was daughter of Reynolds Allen and she was the mother of John, Peter and William Keeton before she married Peter Eli Bruce. If you check the Johnson Co deeds in 1759 you will find where she sold some land to her father. Also was with the understanding that the Keetons, Allens and the Bruces all moved to Iredell Co about 1785-90. You have Tabitha birth as about 1751 but I know that in 1759 she was the mother of 3 Keeton sons so she would have to been born a lot earlier. I am not trying to change your information but would like to let you know that it might be incorrect. Peter Eli Bruce's name in the will of Reynolds Allen was so there would not be any confusion about the inheritance to the Keeton grandsons. Peter was stepfather to John, Peter and William.
