He was a member of the Barbados Council and a leuitenant-general in
that island.Information found in Burke's HISTORY OF THE COMMONERS under Dottin, of Bugle Hall. The ALLEYNE's are supposed descended from Alanus de BUCHENHALL (Buckenhall) of Staffordshire, England. Abel was a Captain and he was also a Lt. General in the army. He had 6 tennants on his land in Barbados, according to the Omitted Chapters from Hotten. He also had 115 negroes and 316 acres. Apparently he lived in the parish of St. Andrews
