BerryPatch101@@aol.com, Wed 3/27/2002 10:28 PM Mike: I just found your wonderful Allen, etc. website. I think I am responsible for an erroneous entry in your info about Miles Allen, SR. first wife. When I was beginning my genealogy back in the 1970's I found record of Cinthia Allen of the Gibson County, TN census (for 1850, I believe)- living in a house with Elizabeth Allen (much younger) and a child - they lived next door to Miles Allen, Jr and family. I believed Cinthia to be Miles' mother. Because she had a son named Young and my grandfather (her grandson) was named YOUNG Henry Berrry, I presumed that her maiden name might have been YOUNG. I apparently wrote this in some notes to someone who submitted it to LDS records. I now believe that Cinthia is the same as Jincey Bledsoe Allen (but again - I have no proof of that idea, either). If I am responsible for the error I am sorry. But I don't have any evidence that Miles Allen, Sr. was married to anyone except Jincey Bledsoe. - Ross Berry
