Iredell Co. NC Court Minutes: May Session, 1811 - William Allen appointed guardian of Reynolds Allen who is [in a] state of lunecy. Gives bond with a James Hartness and David Smita in sum of £2000. Feb. 1812 - The following swore to try the sanity of mind of Reynold Allen, Vis: Elehu King, James Stevenson, John Nichols, Robert McKay, Andrew Watt, John Stevenson (Carpenter), James McIver, Thos. Crawford, John Thorne, and Wiatte Cheatham. They find him capable of transacting his business. Aug 7, 1812, Susanna Allen relinquishes her right to adm. on the Estate of Reynolds Allen, dec'd. Allen Hill qualified as adm. of the Estate of Reynold Allen. Gave bond of £1000, William M. Allen and John Allen, security. Nov. 1813 - James Campbell, Esq. guardian to Clarissa Allen, orphan of Reynold Allen, gave bond with a Thomas Stewart in the sume of £300. --------------------------- Iredell Co., NC Deed Book M, Pg 357: Oct 17, 1825 - susannah Allen of Iredell Co. N.C. to Lelas Stewart of same. 125 acres on waters of rocky Creek, Tract of land whereon Reynold Allen lived at the time of his death and from him divided to said Susannah Allen. --------------------------- On September 3, 1812, 9 children were named in a deed involved with the estate settlement for Reynold Allen, Jr. The final settlement was made in 1824 and nine heirs shared the remainder of the estate.
